Here is a page specific to odds and ends of my restaurant ratings such as wild cards, food type ratings, specialty foods and things like that. This is a growing list and I will be adding sections and new eating joints all the time.
Wild Cards
Here are some places I am not sure about, loved some aspects and disliked others. Worth Adding to the list because they were still great to experience and enjoyable. Hover over the images or text for more info.
Tuscany is a well awarded and well liked place in Utah. A major pull for this place is the building/decor and the ambiance. Everything else was good too from food to service.
Tuscany - Holladay UT, USA
For Holladay Utah this is the place to be, as mentioned in the short recap, this place absolutely rocks it in the ambiance department, its fantastic. The food was good too, our appetizer was fresh and tasty. My meatloaf was super good.
Another solid meal but slightly down on value.

Tsubaki was a new experience, an authentic Japanese hidden restaurant. Many pros with fresh fish and taste, maybe a little too expensive though. Worth a try.

One of a kind experience, Id likley do it again. This place is proof expensive isnt always best. I tried A5 wagyu, personally its a bit overrated, too fatty. Loved that they did fresh, real wasabi. Crab fried rice was good and so was most of the sashimi.
Fun experience but the price didnt matched up.

Maybe the most quintessential "wild card" I have ever reviewed and I think the lowest score I have ever given as well. However, the tuna carpaccio was fire and it was literally in a cave.
Ali Barbours - Diani Beach, Kenya
Ali Barbours was all about ambiance, one of if not the coolest restaurant I have ever been in as far as cool locations go. The food was exquisite for Kenya standards but thats not much. It was fun.

The tuna carpaccio starter and beautiful, unusual cave location made for an unforgettable experience.

Bacetti was really a great time, almost made our list of favorites but we both thought it could have made a step. Good food and vibes though at the
low side of a moderate spend.

Bacetti was nothing short of a fantastic evening. The summary for this one is that everything was good, service, food, vibes and the value for your money here was great. However nothing made it amazing or especially special. Not a favorite but good.

Hruska's Kolaches is the place to go for a czech treat for breakfast or a treat.
This place always has a huge line out of the door as is usually sold out well before noon. Its all for a good reason, this perfected recipe comes in sweet and savory they are baked fresh and deliscious.

Hand Made Tortillas
These handmade tortillas are great, they sell tacos and tamales too or just the tortillas.
This place earned a Bib Gourmand rating purely for its tortillas. They serve great tacos and food but it all starts with the hand made corn flower and perfectly cooked tortillas. I even took some home and made fresh chips.
